  • Tip 1: It is important to have a goal. Worry about what you want to achieve, what do you need to aim for this goal, and the most important thing- why do you want to reach it. On the next step write down your ideas and hang them where you can see them. So you will be reminded and motivated every day.
  • Tip 2: It is vital to think positive. Negative thoughts burn into your brain and it could be possible that your negative thoughts come true: You must never say that you can’t do it. Better is to say: I will make it.
  • Tip 3: Create a comfortable environment. Furnish your room with nice furniture and decorations. You can also work well with different scent mixtures. In a comfortable environment, you will feel better and this increases your motivation.
  • Tip 4: Reward yourself. If you have done a good job or if you have tried, give yourself a reward. This could be a delicious meal, a new dress, or only a lazy couch day. You deserve it.
  • Tip 5: Love what you do. Normally, we should only do what we like. But this is not always possible. You probably do not like everything you have to do. Try to find something positive in things which you don’t like. You are more motivated if you like what you are doing.

The importance of a good time management

You are suffering under extreme stressful situations? Beside studies and work is too less time for your family, friends and hobbies? Stress is very dangerous, it leads to heart diseases, burnout syndrome and other psychical diseases.

With a well thought-out time management plan you are able to reduce your stress level. You will have more time for yourself and your favourite people. Below you will find my top five tips for successful time management:

  • Tip 1: Reduce the requirements on yourself. You don’t have to write only good grades. What matters is that you get a pass. Likewise, your household doesn’t always have to be perfect. When it bothers someone, give them a wiper in their hands.
  • Tip 2: If you are an early riser you can get up half an hour earlier. This time you could spend on learning. Night owls can plan half an hour of study time before going to bed.
  • Tip 3: Avoid distractions. We spend too much time on unimportant things like smartphones, television and videogames. While learning, put all devices aside. With this tip you can save a lot of time.
  • Tip 4: Plan fixed learning times in your calendar. This time should only be used for studying. Do not accept any other appointments during this time. It is essential to have structure. You will get used to it very soon.
  • Tip 5: Usefulness can be combined with necessary housework. During cooking time, you can talk with your family- or better: cooking together, it is funnier. While you iron you can watch TV. There is also no shame in accepting help.

Which skills does a Multitasking part-time student need?

The reason why I started with this blog is, that I want to motivate people to follow their dreams. You are never too old to learn and you can reach everything if you want it from the bottom of your heart. A job and children are no obstacles to starting your studies. In this blog I want to share my experiences of the last years how to manage Family, Job, Study and Household.

Firstly, I want to outline some skills, which you need to master the study. The most important thing is your motivation, you have really to want it. There is no point in going into college just to impress someone else.

Secondly, you must be willing to work hard. Most of your leisure time will be spent by learning, do not underestimate studying.

Furthermore, you need support of your family and friends. They will need a lot of understanding when you are in the learning phase. They also probably must do something without you more often. But with a good time-management you can keep everyone satisfied. In my next blog you will learn more about this topic. Be curious.

That where the main points you will need to start your successful study. What do you think, which skill is the most important?

Anyone who stops learning is old, whether at twenty or eigthy.

Anyone who keeps learning stays young.
